How to become a Piano Tuner
Becoming a piano tuner involves quite a bit of training and experience, often involving an apprenticeship of some kind. Only through working in the field for years on hundreds of pianos and continuing with education, (which will include learning from older, more experienced tuners/technicians) can the piano tuner learn the mastery of this trade. There are formal education trainings available as well. The Piano Technicians Guild is a good resource for what is currently available.
